What is improved in the processor?
The chip, like other analogs, works on the basis of the 7-nm process technology. It has four Cortex-A77 cores with a frequency of 2.84 GHz and another with 2.4 GHz. The remaining four energy-efficient cores have a frequency of 1.8 GHz. The Snapdragon 865 processor supports 16 gigabytes of RAM such as LPDDR4X or LPDDR5. The model supports Wi-Fi 6, dual-frequency GPS, Bluetooth 5.1.
The novelty will be paired with the Adreno 650 graphics accelerator, which has 25% more power than its predecessor. Accordingly, new phones based on this chip will be able to support 4K screens with a frequency of 60 GHz and Quad HD + with a frequency of up to 144 Hz.
It is worth adding that this processor was equipped with an X55 5G modem, although for the CIS market this is not a tangible plus.
It is worth noting that the new chip attracts the latest generation of advanced AI Engine with a capacity of 15TOPs. For image processing, the Spectra 480 ISP is used, capable of making images with a resolution of up to 200 megapixels.
