Frankly, this configuration immediately catches every user. It's nice when everything is thought out to the smallest detail. This is confirmed by the instruction, which allows you to easily understand the features of the robot vacuum cleaner, simple rules for maintenance and operation.

In my opinion, the Gutrend Echo 520 got a neat, practical look. It is difficult to imagine an interior design in which he would not fit succinctly. There are no complaints about the build quality either.

At the top there is a stop / off / start button for intelligent modes, a Wi-Fi activation button and an indicator that displays the connection status. Sensors (10 pairs) are placed around the perimeter of the bumper, designed for the timely detection of obstacles. The largest element is a 360 degree laser rangefinder module. This ensures accurate positioning of the robot vacuum cleaner in space, allows you to obtain reliable data on the dimensions of the room and the features of its layout. But more on that later.

In the front part you can see a protective bumper that prevents damage to the cabinet and furniture as a result of accidental collisions. On the sides are motion sensors along the walls (2 pairs). Nearby is the on / off button and a connector for connecting the charging adapter.

At the bottom there are 3 more pairs of height detection sensors. Accordingly, this robot vacuum cleaner detects stairs in cottages and houses.For maneuverability, fairly high-quality wheels are responsible. Rear shock. In general, there is no need to worry about overcoming small obstacles. In addition, there are two side brushes and a main brush below, which can be removed and cleaned of debris without much effort. Nearby are the contacts for connecting the charging station. Therefore, you can charge the battery (2600 mAh) in two ways.

As for new technologies, there is something to tell about. First of all, I would like to mention the LASER VIEW technology. I must say right away that the Echo 520 robot vacuum cleaner not only sees its location on the map, but also determines the distance to objects. Another plus is the DUAL CLEAN system, which allows both dry and wet cleaning. Comparing with analogues, I can say that it is very convenient.

The advantages of the new items also include a three-level adjustment of the suction and water supply. This allows you to achieve greater efficiency, taking into account the type of flooring. If the battery discharges during the cleaning process, then after the charge is restored, the robot vacuum cleaner will automatically resume operation from the last point.

Special attention is paid to the GUTREND ECHO mobile application, through which you can see the exact map of the room, taking into account the layout. Moreover, with the help of software you can set the “forbidden zones” without resorting to the use of magnetic tape. Agree, convenient! That is not all. The GUTREND ECHO 520 robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with a voice alert system.

In total, 5 modes were implemented, each of which we were able to test in practice. So:

• Intelligent cleaning - provides for the construction of a map, which guarantees a consistent process along the optimal path. "Smart Assistant" independently builds a route that you can track on your smartphone;
• combined (wet and dry) cleaning - in this mode, water is automatically supplied. As you understood from the name, the robot vacuum cleaner simultaneously absorbs rubbish and mop the floor;
• selective cleaning - you can independently select cleaning zones using the built-in map in the application. The robot cleaner will go through them sequentially;
• restriction of the cleaning area - as already agreed, it is possible to close certain areas in the application or using magnetic tape;
• scheduled cleaning - another advantage of the proprietary application is the ability to set cleaning by time or on specific days of the week.

Based on the manufacturer's statement, the battery capacity is enough for 2 hours of continuous operation. This is more than enough for cleaning rooms up to 110 square meters. It took several minutes to prepare the robot vacuum cleaner for work. An obvious plus was the proprietary application, with the setup of which when reviewing the predecessor the last time there were certain difficulties.

This application is for the echo series. This time, difficulties arose only due to the fact that I already had a robot and the application on the phone remained, I did not even think that it was different for this model. Otherwise, when I downloaded the latest program and registered, following sequentially, there were no problems. Management is intuitive, the interface is simple and informative.

At the first stage of preparing the device for work, it is necessary to determine the type of container. Just note that we tried both options, but it makes sense to use a dust collector with a capacity of 0.48 liters when cleaning a large room. For an apartment of the indicated volume, it will be enough for 3-4 sessions. Therefore, for standard apartments a more interesting option is the new container for dry and wet cleaning.

To extract each of the containers, just click on the button. Next, take out with a flick of the wrist.

If you decide to use a combined container, first open the valve and fill with water.Now you need to put on microfiber, which also should not be difficult, since there are latches.

After cleaning, you need to move the holder, pull out the dust bag. The filter compartment is also easy to remove. On the one hand there is a regular filter, on the second HEPA filter - this rule applies to both a conventional dust collector and a combined container for dry and wet cleaning.

We wipe the sensors with a cloth, and brush the bottom with auxiliary brushes, offered by the manufacturer in the configuration. It takes about 300 minutes to charge the battery to 100%. It is recommended to clean the central brush after each cleaning, it usually gathers a lot of hair.

To control the robot vacuum cleaner using a smartphone, you need to download the application. We are going through registration. In the application, add a new device. Next, turn on Wi-Fi, connect to your home network and follow the instructions of the application, as in the screenshot.

As you understand, this application allows you to thoroughly study laser technology. To build an accurate map of the room, taking into account the features of the layout, it takes a few seconds.

After receiving a detailed map, you can find out how long it will take to clean the room. In addition, you can go to the "Restricted areas" section, and remove unnecessary areas. For example, where are the wires. Now let’s explain why.

This time we decided to create additional difficulties for the new robot vacuum cleaner, with obviously high hopes, but the parameters prompted such an experiment. Firstly, we did not clean the wires and did not raise the curtains, as recommended in the instructions. Secondly, groats and pieces of cat hair were scattered over the laminate. You can see the result in the video for clarity.

As expected, this is one of the most intelligent robotic vacuum cleaners among those that have ever been tested personally. He coped with the curtains without problems, they did not disorient him. Similarly, he effectively coped with cleaning under a computer chair and a lamp with thin legs, of course he hit them, but he understood that this was an obstacle and circumvented them. Problems arose during cleaning along the wall, where there are many wires, there he got confused. This is common for all robotic vacuum cleaners. Therefore, we will remove this zone from the map in the future.

For the successful passage of the zone with scattered groats, it was enough to highlight the zone on the map. It is worth noting that he clearly adheres to those faces of the site that he was given and does not go beyond them. From the first time he collected almost all the wool, but of course the groats from the side brushes scattered a little on the sides, so for complete cleanliness he needed two passes of the site. We consider the result to be excellent, two passes - this is absolutely normal, because all robots are designed so that side brushes do not collect such garbage the first time. It is worth noting that the regime of dry and wet cleaning was turned on, the floor was wet and clean at the end of cleaning.

After the first launch and map building, the robot vacuum cleaner hit interior objects, but not significantly. But from the second time, provided that you do not change the location of objects, he will carry out even more thorough and accurate cleaning, taking into account the location of the furniture. And here it is worth noting that the sensors and map building work almost flawlessly, the map always shows exactly where the robot is located, its entire route traveled. By the way, the virtual wall, in my opinion, is the last century, and I do not know why it is included. After the first launch, the application simply sets the restrictions on the areas in which it cannot be entered and that’s it. So I highlighted the threshold, wires, cat bowls and the entrance to the bathroom. This is the first robot vacuum cleaner that you do not need to follow and be afraid that it will crawl somewhere.

A stylish, functional robot vacuum cleaner in a practical plastic case has the best navigation system among other Gutrend products at the moment. This model allows you to immediately carry out wet and dry cleaning, which helps to save the user a lot of free time.At the same time, the battery capacity and performance are enough to efficiently clean a two-room apartment from debris and dirt several times. Thanks to several modes and adjustment of the water supply intensity and power, an optimal cleaning result is achieved on any type of surface. LASER VIEW technology truly lives up to expectations - this is not just another marketing ploy. The robot vacuum cleaner builds an accurate map, and perfectly determines its location even with a complex layout of the apartment. Cope with obstacles up to 15 millimeters without problems, and navigate in space. A total of 30 sensors are installed.

Friends, in the end I want to note that this is one of the few robotic vacuum cleaners that really surprised me. If in the previous model, the company’s application was considered as an “additional bonus”, now the remote control and the virtual wall cause a similar attitude. The model really copes with 2-in-1 cleaning and provides for control from a smartphone. Of course, the level of wet cleaning is not comparable with the use of a bucket and rag, but, in my opinion, the level of quality of cleaning is quite high. Still pleased with the low noise level - up to 50 dB and battery life. One charge is enough to clean a small apartment three times. This is the first robot vacuum cleaner that makes sense to use in small apartments, before that I saw the meaning only in large rooms, but here I can easily control where he can go, where he can’t, and start wet and dry cleaning every day for a week, and personally, I am pleased with everything. I recommend this product!
