Overview of the Hoover ATHOS vacuum cleaner

The first impression of the design of the vacuum cleaner is positive, although it is very large. The model weighs 6.7 kilograms, but it is easy to transport to different rooms thanks to the movable wheels. Telescopic tube made of metal. The case is made of glossy plastic. Thanks to the Nanopack system it is possible to twist a flexible hose around the vacuum cleaner, the tube can be stored in the grooves in the back of the vacuum cleaner. The power cord is automatically rewound. For three additional nozzles there is a special storage compartment, and this is probably the only thing that distinguishes it from other models.

In the review of the Hoover ATHOS vacuum cleaner, I want to say that it took only a few minutes to prepare the device for work:

1. Attached a flexible hose to the body of the vacuum cleaner. To remove, press the two latches;
2. Put the hose handle on the upper end of the metal tube;
3. A nozzle is installed on the lower end of the tube depending on the goal set by the user.

To remove the bag, you must open the case, the latch is on the central side of the case. Inside, under the cover there is a spacious dust collector, a HEPA filter and a pre-engine filter.

Important! Filters should not be washed with hot water or chemicals.

Currently, in the company’s store you can buy a complete filter, which is designed for one and a half years of operation. It is recommended to wash the dust bag in cold water after every 5 operating sessions. It is worth adding in the review of the ATHOS vacuum cleaner that it is recommended for allergy sufferers, most importantly do not forget to clean them!

After assembling the vacuum cleaner, just press the side “On / Off” button, after which you can adjust the power. During a stop of work, the handset can be inserted into a special opening - this is very convenient when moving to another room.

It is worth adding that the cable has a length of 8 meters. Therefore, I did not have to pull the plug from the outlet when moving from the hall to the bedroom. For storage, the hose and tube fold into the nano-punk position, which allows you to save free space in the room. A flexible hose wraps around the vacuum cleaner.

During the review of the vacuum cleaner from Hoover, it became clear that a special compartment for storing auxiliary elements is really convenient. Other design features include a rubberized grip and two parking options. The cord is reeled up efficiently; no defects have been identified.

The effectiveness of the model was tested on different coatings. I was embarrassed that after switching on I felt a slight smell of rubber - I was alerted. However, this fragrance quickly disappeared. Power is 2400 W, so you should not expect that the device will work quietly. Started with parquet, then cleaned in the hall, kitchen and bathroom. As part of the tests, Hoover ATHOS found out that this model copes with a rather difficult task - cleaning garbage from the carpet. Similarly with small rugs in the bathroom. In the picture above you can see what the main nozzle of the vacuum cleaner looks like, and below the turbo brush and brush for parquet.

Please note that I have a cat that leaves a lot of hair after itself. Due to its high power, the nozzle literally sticks to the parquet. Therefore, I tested it at medium power, and I vacuumed the parquet and other coatings without lint with a nozzle for parquet, this is not an easy task considering that the length of the bristles is about one centimeter, but there isn’t enough power, and even I could remove the input mat for the test from the wool and garbage and sand from the street.

The parquet nozzle has natural bristles and a felt wheel - the floor does not scratch.

Additional nozzles are basically standard for vacuum cleaners, so there is nothing to paint here.

After cleaning the apartment, I decided to look at the internal state of the vacuum cleaner, the filters turned out to be almost clean, but this is not surprising because at home I’m not very dirty and the bag is new, so the main dust settled on it, but here the case itself under the bag was a little dust, which you can see in the photo.

Summing up the Hoover ATHOS review, I want to say that this device is really powerful, in 2019 people bypass models with a dust bag, if you are not one of them, then of course you can consider it. With an average load, it was possible to clean the flooring, rugs without problems, it has a large bag capacity for collecting dust and 2 good filters. The model is interesting, but not the best, if you do not like cyclone and cordless vacuum cleaners, then you can take it, if you are not confused by the price of a vacuum cleaner that costs almost 9,000 rubles, I personally love the products of this company, but I think that they have a lot of models that are on their head above this.

Probably the main disadvantage of all such vacuum cleaners is the high noise level and large size, but if we are talking about the pros, it, like all new Hoover vacuum cleaners, is well suited for allergy sufferers and has a high-quality and durable motor, yet this brand deserves respect since they are alone from the first to start vacuum cleaners, although almost no one knows about them in the CIS!
